Private Camp provides intimacy for private group and individual, for a better way to access and experience the remote wilderness areas of desert’s extensive southern deserts. For us, this is the real reason to come to Desert; to experience the raw untouched wilderness of the deserts and to immerse yourself for at least a few days in this extraordinary environment. We use two superb tented camps for this - the Desert Private Camp or the Luxury Desert Camp. Both of these camps are deeply spoiling experiences for a night spent in splendid isolation under a firmament bright with star. Our private camp has to be one of the most rewarding wilderness experiences available. The Mobil camp is designed with function in mind. The sorts of journeys we put together can involve moves of considerable distances in a day, so the equipment needs to be portable - whether by camel if you’re trekking, or by jeep if you are travelling long distances, then this camp, set up just for you, is the real deal and highly rewarding. At the end of each day as you drive - or better still walk - in to camp, you’ll find that the 3 or 4 man Berber crew have everything in hand. Tents set up, lanterns and fire lit, water for washing hot and food ready to go. . In our experience it rarely disappoints. There’s a stunning patterned Caidale tent for dining, although we often prefer to eat under the stars provided that it’s warm enough. The Luxury camp has to be one of the most luxury camp in the desert Set in the impressive desert landscape, provides each spacious guest tent is replete with private, en-suite bathroom facilities with toiletries. and fully-furnished sumptuous bedrooms completed with wall-to-wall rugs, leather armchairs, mirrors, lamps, and the finest bed linens. Electricity is provided in the guest tents in the evenings via solar power. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy a beautiful wilderness in the most deluxe of accommodations, it offers pure luxury at every level but retains the spirit of the culture of the Sahara Desert, given it is run exclusively by a Berber team who all originate from the area. The team are true professionals, and lots of fun, and know how to make everything run as seamlessly as possible in the desert. Service is relaxed and friendly. Guests can even enjoy cooking in the desert with the chef and then dine around the campfire while being entertained by local musicians.
